Whether you like sipping margaritas by the pool or dining outdoors with your friends and family, the right patio furniture can truly help you enjoy summer days. While spring and summer are the best seasons to enjoy patio time, they, unfortunately, are not the best time to purchase patio furniture. So, when should you buy your outdoor furniture? Read on to find out.

When is the best time to purchase outdoor furniture?

If you want the best value for your money, don’t make the mistake of buying patio furniture when you see your neighbors having pool and barbeque parties – because of the increased demand during warm months, the demand for outdoor furniture is extremely high, resulting in high prices. So, buy patio furniture when the demand for it is low but supply is still high – between late summer and early fall.

Patio furniture pieces are typically offered on sale from August to October when stores are clearing their summer items to make space for fall inventory. In early August, retailers typically offer up to 20% off, but by late October, you can find deals of up to 70% off. So the farther it is from summer, the better the deals you’ll find.

When you have such fantastic deals, you can consider investing in good-quality pieces, like a premium, wicker chair and table set, without feeling guilty about spending too much money. The only downside is that you’re not going to have too many options as you move further into fall.

Seasonal sales to watch for

Many retailers also have sales around major holidays, and you may be able to score good deals during these sale days. Keep an eye out for discounted patio furniture on holiday sales for New Year’s Day, President’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Columbus Day/Indigenous People’s Day, Black Friday, and Cyber Monday.
